THE NAMES BEHIND THE BRAND
FOUNDER & HEAD DESIGNER
At a young age Sorapol was inspired by a book
of Parisian Couture Design which sparked his passion for fashion.
Naturally, he went on to study Fashion Design & Illustration. Eventually taking the plunge and moving to London, aged 17, to study at London College of Fashion renowned for being an environment for young designers to flourish.
From here Sorapol went on to form the brand SORAPOL with artist Daniel Lismore.
In his home town, Lismore studied photography and fashion design at college which was interrupted by a modelling career at age 17. He then moved to London to work with some of fashions biggest names and was featured in magazines such as Vogue UK, L'Uomo Vogue and ID Magazine.
He progressed in the publishing world, contributing to and illuminating the wardrobes at magazines such as Vogue Russia, Vogue Nippon, and ID. Soon becoming a leading figure in London's nightlife existing as a living breathing art work and exhibiting his works at Tate Modern in 2013.
After 9 years of working in the fashion industry, the London's womenswear label Sorapol was conceived when he met Sorapol Chawaphatnakul in 2012, merging artisanal techniques with subversive silhouettes to form decadent idiosyncratic luxury.
